Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled Infrastructure Engineer + Network Engineer to design and implement a state-of-the-art, highly secure enterprise software network solution.  This role involves a blend of advanced cybersecurity practices, bare-metal and cloud infrastructure, network architecture expertise, and innovative problem-solving to protect sensitive organizational data and ensure seamless connectivity across global operations while supporting a variety of client and server configurations  

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Architect Secure Networking Solutions:
  • Design scalable, high-performance network architectures tailored to enterprise needs, including hybrid cloud and on-premises environments.
  • Evaluate and implement appropriate network protocols and encryption methodologies.
  • Develop server and client-side software to facilitate connectivity across  diverse global infrastructure.
  • Ensure compatibility with existing network infrastructure, including firewalls, routers, and intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS).
  1. Enhance Security Posture:
  • Implement robust authentication mechanisms, such as multi-factor authentication (MFA) and certificate-based access.
  • Employ advanced encryption standards to secure communication and maximize ability for network connections to traverse firewalls.
  • Develop and enforce strict access controls and user permissions policies.
  1. Network Performance Optimization:
  • Conduct in-depth network analysis to ensure minimal latency and maximum uptime.
  • Implement load balancing and failover mechanisms for high availability.
  • Optimize bandwidth utilization and troubleshoot connectivity issues.
  1. Compliance and Risk Management:
  • Ensure software and network solutions comply with industry regulations (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, ISO 27001).
  • Perform risk assessments to identify vulnerabilities and implement mitigations.
  • Stay updated on emerging threats and integrate preventive measures.
  1. Monitoring and Maintenance:
  • Deploy monitoring tools to track usage, detect anomalies, and prevent unauthorized access.
  • Regularly update firmware, software, and security patches for all components.
  • Develop incident response plans and procedures for security events.
  1. Collaboration and Documentation:
  • Work closely with IT, cybersecurity, and DevOps teams to align VPN solutions with organizational goals.
  • Document architecture designs, configurations, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Provide training and guidance to IT staff on best practices for system usage and maintenance.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 5+ years of experience in network engineering and cybersecurity, with a focus on software development, systems and network infrastructure technologies.
  • Deep understanding of networking concepts, including routing, switching, DNS, and BGP.
  • Expertise in network protocols and tools.
  • Proficiency in Linux servers, firewalls, IDS/IPS systems, and SIEM solutions.
  • Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and hybrid environments.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Professional certifications such as CISSP, CCNP Security, or CEH.
  • Knowledge of zero-trust architectures and Software-Defined Perimeter (SDP) frameworks.
  • Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) for automation.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD deployment methods
